Gulf Coast Diving Once a month for most of the year SDI travels south to the Gulf Coast of Florida. In the Months of January and February we dive the Rainbow River and Snorkel with the Manatees at Homosassa Springs. Our January and February Rainbow River/Manatee trips are always planned over 3-day Holiday Weekends. In March and April we dive the Springs of the Florida panhandle. Most often this is a trip to Vortex Springs which is about an hour north of Panama City Beach. From April thru October we run a monthly trip to dive in the Gulf of Mexico from either Panama City Beach or Destin. In the months of November and December it's back to Vortex Springs.
